Hi, here is my website where I summarize my research projects (see Projects) and share some notes on the courses I instruct. I also view this website as a way to keep my programming skills in good shape, as it runs entirely through the scripts I coded. My academic background includes a BA in Psychology from Koç University, Istanbul, and MA in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Sussex, where I studied multisensory relative timing using sensory adaptation paradigms, and MS in Neuroscience at Bilkent University, where I examined the receptive field properties of groups of neurons in the brain using methods of psychophysics and neuroimaging. Additionally, I gained industry experience at an aerospace company, working in Human Factors as part of a Human Systems Interaction (HSI) team tasked with designing the cockpit of an aircraft. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Affective, Social, and Cognitive Psychology, at Visual Perception, Emotion, and Cognition (VPEC) Lab at the University of Denver, studying perceptual organization, and facial expression perception and detection.
